2)Applications
L-HPC is a pharmaceutical excipient specially manufactured for tablet production, which is made of alkali cellulose by etherification of ethylene oxide. The molecular structure contains a large number of hydrophilic groups, large surface area and porosity, which accelerates the moisture-absorption, improves the swelling rates (better than starch), facilitates tablets disintegration and the fineness after disintegration, and accelerates dissolution rate. Its coarse structure has tessellation effect with medicine, which increases the bonding strength and improves the tablet hardness and surface finish. It is a superior choice of tablet disintegrating agent.
